To become a recognized professional personnel management practitioner in Nigeria, you must be registered with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. The inauguration process requires candidates take examination which is in six (6) phases.

Requirements for CIPM Examination
Generally, irrespective of the category you wish to apply, holding an SSCE with at least five (5) credit pass in English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects is mandatory.
1. Foundation: Candidates applying for this level must hold with a Degree of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Pure & Applied Sciences or any other science related discipline.
2. Intermediate: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Management and Social Science, Humanities, Arts and Law etc.
3. Professional: M.Sc/MBA/PHD in Human Resource management, industrial relations and personnel management etc.
The minimum pass mark for all levels if 50%.
